About Us
Fayetteville Youth Football was started in 2005. In the first year of the youth program, 80 boys and girls participated on the teams ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Since then our youth program continued to grow, but our local school didn't offer school football. The Fayetteville-Perry local school district is a division 6 school. After a year of working with the school board, Football was started in our local high school.
The first year of the school program the school offered Middle School Football 7th and 8th grade. That year Fayetteville Youth Football donated all of the equipment, the coaches’ salaries, and the cost of transportation to and from all away games. Since then both the youth and school programs have continued to grow.
Last year Middle School, Reserve and JV schedules were offered. The youth program placed 5 teams in the Butler County Youth Football league championship games. Also last year two board members were able to secure a large amount of weight-lifting equipment and donated that to the school for use by all the student athletes at Fayetteville-Perry. This year highlights years of planning and preparation by both our school and youth programs. This is the school’s first complete Varsity Football Season.
By working together, the School and Youth programs have been able to bring the dream of “Friday Night Lights” one step closer. This upcoming year the varsity team will be playing under the lights, but it will be at Goshen High School. The athletic complex at Fayetteville-Perry will not be completed in time for the 2010 season. Phase I of the complex will be completed and ready for play the 2011 season.
The Fayetteville Youth Football organization is a 501(c)(3) not for profit.
